Elena: the golden girl, the leader, the one who can have any boy she wants.Stefan: brooding and mysterious, he seems to be the only one who can resist Elena, even as he struggles to protect her from the horrors that haunt his past.Damon: sexy, dangerous, and driven by an urge for revenge against Stefan, the brother who betrayed him. Determined to have Elena, he'd kill to possess her.Collected here in one volume for the first time, volumes one and two of The Vampire Diaries, the tale of two vampire brothers and the beautiful girl torn between them.

Well I read the books before I watched the T.V series, but I'll talk about the television series tomorrow or later today since it's 1A.M. Anyways, what can I say. First off, in my opinion, I actually enjoyed this more then twilight. It is different from Twilight and I don't want to start a argument, but after hearing that Stephenie Meyer got sued I must say that if I were to pick who should of sued Stephenie Meyer (this sounds totally mean, I know, but it's not intended to) I would pick L.J Smith. But anyways this book is very fast paced and doesn't drag on. Well Damon is kept out of it for a while, but that's all. It's not boring. I didn't really find any scenes that I thought should've been cut. This book is two books in the series in one. I liked the second book the best and the first book was good but the second one was better. The first one was fast paced but it didn't have enough action and the ending wasn't so good in my opinion. The Second book ending made up for that because I think it had the best ending I've ever read. Also L.J Smith does a fantastic job of creating a world that is very vivid to the mind. She also lets her readers see a super natural world that is to good to resist. With a hot, good-guyVampire and bad-boy vampire who are brothers. At first you'll hate Elena (protagonist) but after a while you'll begin to see her point of view and understand her pain and suffering. I must say that the emotions are well described and it defiently is a amazing book. The only thing I would suggest is that it weren't a cliffhanger in every book because if you don't have the next book you'll be sad. I suggest for any future buyers to buy the first volume and second volume. So you'll have the first four books in your hand.

So far this series is amazing and I can't wait to read more XD.

"Blue Moon: The Immortal Series Book 2" By Alyson Noel Review #12

In the second installment, Ever can bring her family back from the dead-but only if she's willing to sacrifice the guy she loves more than life itself. Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him. As Ever's powers are increasing, Damen's are fading-stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life. Desperate to save him, Ever travels to the mystical dimension of Summerland, uncovering not only the secrets of Damen's past-the brutal, tortured history he hoped to keep hidden-but also an ancient text revealing the workings of time. With the approaching blue moon heralding her only window for travel, Ever is forced to decide between turning back the clock and saving her family from the accident that claimed them-or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows weaker each day... Woah I didn't realize that The Immortal Series has the same publisher as Evernight. Interesting!!! Ok now back to what should of been a good opener. This was a SUPERBER sequel. Oh My God!!! It was just as good as the first, maybe even better. I wasn't bored with it that for sure. By the way, I know this review is like two month late. I bought This book in July and read haft of it on the way back from Japan but never finished it and then all of August I was busy so I recently just finished it. I'm sorry. But OMG, it was amazing. I can't wait for Shadowland. What Can I say, it was fast pasted, well written and had a good plot. I loved her new character Roman. I also loved the dialog. Ever is a very believable character and that something that most people, I would think, would like. I mean Ever is probably a character we can all relate to in some way. I don't have any complaints really about this book. The only thing that made me make this a four stars instead of a "Maura's Choice" is because the book can be a bit confusing at times. I mean Ever will be in Summerland one minute and then she'll be back in the real world again and your like: "How in the hell did she just get back!!" and that makes the book a bit confusing at times. But other then that I must say this was probably, in my opinion one of the best sequels I've read of all time. I defiently recommend people who have read the first book and haven't read the second one to read it. And for those who haven't read this series then I most defiently recommend you to read this series. Well Thats Alll I can say for now .Check back for my next review XD

Ever Night Book 1 Review #11

Author: Claudia Gray
Publisher: Harper Teen
Pages: 352 pages

When the story begins in
Evernight, Bianca has just left the small town where she's spent her whole life. She's a new student at Evernight Academy, a creepily Gothic boarding school where her classmates are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.Then she meets Lucas, another loner, who seems fiercely determined not to be the "Evernight type." There's a connection between Bianca and Lucas that can't be denied. She would risk anything to be with him—but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart... and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed to be true.

I must say that I absolutely adored this book. It was the first book where I actually could relate to the main character. Me and Bianca are very similar so it was nice reading something and then picturing me in that situation. Anyways the book was amazing and I would definitely would recommend it. It isn't the fastest book *in my opinion* but it isn't boring either. I must also applaud Claudia Gray for making some fantastic plot twists. Sadly I read some parts ahead so I kind of realized them before I read the book. It was a bit disappointing but It made me look at her writer more carefully while reading. It was seriously well done and written. It's fabulous work for a debut in my opinion. Of course not all the subjects are covered in the first book, but I bet they'll continue in the second book: "Stargazer" which I'm excited and looking forward to reading. I don't have any complaints about this story. It was well written, great plot twists, not boring, and had some great, funny dialogue. The only thing I would ever think of suggesting is making the chapters a bit shorter. I hate reading long chapters, but that's just my thought. Anyways I hope you enjoyed my latest review and you'll go read this amazing book by Claudia Gray.

(Thanks To Claudia Gray website for the bio and to Pachuvachuva for the Maura's Choice buttons XD)
