The House of Night series is set in a world very much like our own, except in 16-year-old Zoey Redbird's world, vampyres have always existed. In this first book in the series, Zoey enters the House of Night, a school where, after having undergone the Change, she will train to become an adult vampire--that is, if she makes it through the Change. Not all of those who are chosen do.It's tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx.But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite club, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny--with a little help from her new vampyre friends.
YAY My 10th book review and I'm so glad to say that my 10th book that I'm reviewing is a "Maura Choice", I honestly recommend this series. Even though I've only read the first book. Ok so I really recommend the first book, how about that? Ok anyways it's a really fast paced book with likable, realistic characters and even though It's about Vampire it does have some realistic issues , aka boyfriends and bullies. Or Mean girls. I just found it interesting and it was well described ,I could imagine everything that was going. Also the writing never got boring so it never became slow pasted. Though it wasn't action packed as I think the next books in the series , I still believe it was awesome. I gave myself a pat on the back for fishing this in almost one sitting *had to stop because of supper and movie time*. The only thing I complain about is that it wasn't as action packed as I would of liked it to be. Also some stuff can be very obvious while other stuff that still hasn't fully been explain will keep you guessing. My Favorite character is of course Zoey for she's a amazing protagonist but I also lover her teacher Neferet for she seems like a interesting character. I really like the Erik + Zoey thing but I also hate it for I think Erik is a bit of a playboy. Heather *Zoey's Ex* is a bit annoying. I also wish Damien wasn't gay because for some odd reason I think he and Zoey would make a good pair, is that odd? Anyways I defiently recomend this to anyone. The mother and daughter duo *the authors* are amazing and really have created a wonderful start to what seems like a intriguing series and I can't wait to read the second one.

"Wings by Aprilynne Pike Book Review #9"
Author: Aprilynne Pike
Publisher: Harper Teen
Ratings:
Bio:Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful—too beautiful for words.Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever.(From Barnes And Noble)
So what do I think about this book? What's my opinion, feedback? Well even though probably the whole entire book reviewing community has already reviewed this I decided it was my time to step in and put my thoughts in. So when did I finish this book? In June? Why didn't you review? Because I was lazy and I really don't have much to say. So get on with it already,man....OK!! I didn't like this book until the end. It didn't get interesting til the end is what I'm trying to say. The Characters were to hard to imagine, and too unrealistic. The conversations were just not right. David is to kind and to unrealistic, I can't imagine a guy like him existing. He's too...perfect with his kindness. Tamani was the only character I was interested in. The villains were to easy and easy to predict. I can't see how anyone can compare this to Twilight, first of All David is nothing like Edward, same goes for Tamani as Jacob or Edward. Don't get me wrong it's a amazing idea and is good debut novel but I thought it could of been better and a bit more interesting. It was to slow at times and really there were some chapters that could of been cut out. The writing is a bit hard to vision at times but other then that It's a ok book that a good debut novel. I didn't start liking this book til the end. I'm anticipating the sequel to this, but hoping that it's better. The goods were Tamani....thats all I can think of at the movie. Good Debut Novel though, I'll give Aprilynne Pike credit on that.

"Secret Of The Immortal Nicholas Flammel: The Alchemyst Book Review #8"
Author: Micheal Scott
Publisher: Random House
Rating:
He holds the secret that can end the world.
The truth: Nicholas Flamel was born in Paris on September 28, 1330. Nearly 700 years later, he is acknowledged as the greatest Alchemyst of his day. It is said that he discovered the secret of eternal life.
The records show that he died in 1418.
But his tomb is empty.
The legend: Nicholas Flamel lives. But only because he has been making the elixir of life for centuries. The secret of eternal life is hidden within the book he protects—the Book of Abraham the Mage. It's the most powerful book that has ever existed. In the wrong hands, it will destroy the world. That's exactly what Dr. John Dee plans to do when he steals it. Humankind won't know what's happening until it's too late. And if the prophecy is right, Sophie and Josh Newman are the only ones with the power to save the world as we know it.
Sometimes legends are true.
And Sophie and Josh Newman are about to find themselves in the middle of the greatest legend of all time. (From the Back of the book)
I'm finally back from Japan and have finished this book. FINALLY,lol. I must say this was a interesting book and the conversations amazed me because for once they were conversations that a actual teen would say. Or if I was in this predicament, I would say. The visual and descriptions were beautifully written. In all this was well-written book. The characters felt real, and it keep the pages turning. At times I felt I needed to set this book down (meaning probably you won't read this in one sitting) because it felt like some of the same things happening over and over again. Secondly it was hard to believe that a boy could be that wimpy, I'm not trying to say that girls are because of course females are strong but I couldn't picture a guy that was scared of a bug. To Impossible, sorry guys. Sorry anyone who this this is a rude statement to think (that all guys are not scared of bugs). But seriously I have not met one guy who is afraid of bugs. I have met girls who aren't afraid of bugs, but not a guy who was. Anyways other then that I don't really have any problems with this other then it can become slow at times. I read the end of this in Japan XD on the flight. Anyways tomorrow I do the Wings review.
